Seri Mengasih Centre is a non-government organisation known as the Registered Trustees of Seri Mengasih Trust relying mainly on fundraising projects, and public donations for its operation costs.
It operates as a special developmental day training centre providing specialized training for students with intellectually challenged and developmental disabilities from as young as 3 up to 19 years old.
Functioning Living Skills
The Functional Living Skills (FLS) Programme designed for children with developmental delays age from 3 to 19 years old. It is a centre-based programme where children attend in small groups of 6-12 children everyday.
Kololo Method
The Kololo Method is an educational training programme which was developed in Japan for persons with Autism that is based on its theory of brain development, and the theory of changing behaviour. It emphasizes on group dynamics based on the rationale that people are social beings, and need cooperation with one another, and need group harmony and order to function well.
Therapy
Therapy is an effective rehabilitative program for individuals with motor disorders (such as those who are affected by cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, stroke and so on), and those with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as for those affected by emotional / mental health (for example trauma, and depression).
