Today, Seri Mengasih Centre stands as a testament to community-driven change, offering comprehensive programs that empower individuals and promote inclusivity. From its modest inception in a sports complex to its current status as a leading developmental centre, the journey of Seri Mengasih reflects the power of dedication, compassion, and collective effort.
Seri Mengasih Centre operates as intellectually challenged training centre located in Tanjung Aru, provides specialized training for individuals with a range of intellectual and developmental disabilities from as young as 3 years old up to 19 years old. These include Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and slow learning.
The Centre aims for the holistic development of its students and continue its mission to empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, focusing on their training that foster independence, well-being, and integration into the community. They also strive to increase community awareness and acceptance of these individuals.
Mission & Goals
Seri Mengasih Centre’s primary mission is to enable and empower our students towards a life of hope and dignity within the community.
In other words, we train them to become independent, well behaved and law abiding members of our community. This in turn will also lead to them having more fulfilled and meaningful lives. In addition, society will not regard them as burdensome, and aging parents will have peace of mind knowing their adult children will be able to care for themselves eventually.
We also continue to seek through any means available, to increase the awareness, understanding, and acceptance of the community at large towards persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This will inevitably mean an increase in employment and living opportunities for them within the community.

Seri Mengasih Centre is honored with the official launching of its newly renovated Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Training Centre by Her Royal Highness Yang Amat Mulia Paduka Puteri Tunku Mariamz bte Al-Marhum Al-Mutawakkil Alallah Sultan Iskandar Al-Haj.
The ASD Training Centre building represents a significant milestone in Seri Mengasih Centre’s unwavering commitment to providing comprehensive and specialised support for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder. This newly refurbished facility is designed to enhance the quality of life for those on the spectrum by offering expanded training programs, therapeutic interventions, and vocational skills development in a purpose-built and nurturing environment.
The new building features dedicated classrooms, therapy rooms, sensory integration spaces, and vocational training areas, all meticulously designed to cater to the unique learning styles and needs of individuals with ASD. It will facilitate an expansion of Seri Mengasih Centre’s existing programs, including early intervention, educational support, social skills training, and independent living skills.
